As a Product Manager at Carta, you will own your product's experience.

  • Create and communicate actionable product plans. Articulate your product strategy. Define important product outcomes and goals. Create, manage, and communicate the product roadmap.
  • Discover what to build. Research customer problems.
  • Partner with Design to define, test, and validate solutions.
  • Work with Engineering to ship products, features, and fixes on time and to quality.
  • Document business value, specs, and user stories. Groom, scope, plan, prioritize, unblock, demo, and evangelize your team's work.
  • Define and analyze product data. Define, instrument, review, and present product metrics. Create dashboards. Develop and present product insights. Model business outcomes. Create and test actionable hypotheses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Delivery, Marketing, Sales, Growth, Data Science, and other teams.
  • Hone your product and soft skills. Mentor fellow PMs. Help build the Product organization's tooling, process, and culture.

The Team You’ll Work With

Our pooled hiring model allows us to match candidates with the team that aligns best with their skills, experience, and career aspirations. At the initial stage of our interview process, you'll have the chance to gain insights into the respective domains.

Founders

The Launch/Fundraise team is scrappy and embodies expertise, enthusiasm, and diligence, recognizing our dual responsibility to both the ecosystem and Carta itself, as we serve as the cornerstone for growth at Carta. You’ll work closely with cross functional teams to devise an overall growth strategy including engineers, designers, sales, marketing, support and more.

KYC/Risk

The Financial Products & Infrastructure(FPI) team at Carta, builds KYC & Risk platform solutions for all Carta products thereby enabling money movement and banking, and keeping Carta compliant. You will be working on the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) / Anti-money Laundering (AML), Transaction Monitoring, and Risk solutions across Carta’s ecosystem for a diverse set of customers that span across companies, employees, investors, and internal stakeholders.

Our team’s mission is to empower Carta’s ecosystem by helping both our customers and Carta manage risk, enable frictionless payments, and provide access to liquidity.

Fund Administration’s Formations Team

Build products for venture capitalists! Carta's Fund Administration (FA) business unit is focused on venture capital and private equity investors. FA is a nimble $100M+ start-up backed by the resources of the larger Carta organization.

FA's Formation team helps investors form funds and special-purpose vehicles, close rounds of capital, and collaborate with investors' most-important partners. We build revenue-impacting, easy-to-use offerings, all while measuring, learning, and having a bit of fun! This role is ideal for a PM with a passion for solving investor problems, making legal and regulatory requirements actionable, and turning services into SaaS.

About You

As a seasoned Product Manager, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can lead the charge in shaping innovative solutions that drive business growth and address critical needs.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly within highly regulated environments such as financial services.
  • Deep understanding of financial product requirements and compliance considerations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Whether it's working closely with engineers to develop technical solutions or translating complex technical information into clear business terms for stakeholders, your communication skills are exceptional.
  • Track record of launching successful products that have made a tangible impact on customers.
  • Ability to turn conceptual ideas into actionable plans with a lean and incremental approach.
  • Passion for understanding the challenges your customer and users face and a commitment to providing solutions that empower them to succeed.
  • You excel at solving problems proactively and independently, taking ownership of initiatives from inception to delivery.

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

  • $165,000 - $230,000 in [San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; New York, NY]
  • $148,000 - $205,000 in [Seattle, WA]

We are hiring for multiple levels and locations, so final offers may vary from the amounts listed based on geography, experience and expertise, and other factors.
