The VP of Corporate Development will lead the execution and evolution of Surf Air Mobility’s strategy through commercial relationships, partnerships and M&A activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Co-develop Surf Air Mobility’s corporate strategy.
Develop and maintain relationships with current and future commercial partners.
Lead M&A processes from start to finish: from target development to closing.
Lead or support negotiation of commercial terms with partners or targets.
Lead external and internal strategic programs and projects.
Recruit and retain a strong team to support these activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Executive level communication skills.
Strong team, process, and project management skills.
High degree of financial and valuation fluency.
Strong quantitative and data analytics skills.
Deep experience with due-diligence process.
Creative problem solver.
Commercial negotiations and deal structures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

10-15 years of experience in a relevant similar role.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Advanced degree, such as MBA or equivalent.

Aviation industry experience, or in related technological frontiers is not a requirement, but will give a candidate an advantage.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
Ability to pass 7-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations and/or company policy.
At least 18 years of age.
Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.

Physical requirements:

Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment.
Must be able to communicate through verbal, written and electronic means.
Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height.
Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
