About The RoleOn the Uber Eats Regional Operation team, we serve the business and local markets by building regional strategies to grow the business, launching scalable initiatives across the region and providing recommendations and insights on key opportunity areas. RoleGiven the nuances in this model vs our traditional delivery business, the key focus areas for this role will be as followsWith this role specifically, you will join the Merchant Operations team and support one of the key strategic priorities for the EMEA region - building up the restaurant base and business that manages their own delivery.
  • Selection: Building initiatives and insights to ensure we are onboarding the right cohort of Merchants onto the platform.
  • Demand: Ensuring we are driving enough Eaters to our Merchants.
  • Product experience: Providing the best in-app and delivery experience for our Eaters, Merchants and their couriers.
Given the focus areas, we're looking for someone who has a good mix of abilities from an Operations point of view - to get stuff done, collaborate and build alignment, as well as from a Strategic point of view - the strategic and creative thinking coupled with analytics to drive data-driven insights and decisions. What You’ll Do
  • Analytical deep dives and performance tracking: Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to measure the success of strategies and initiatives (including building and maintaining Dashboards), identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to local teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Supporting teams with analytical deep dives based on trends we’re seeing.
  • Competition tracking: Closely monitoring our business vs. competition in order to stay updated on their product, pricing and experience.
  • Strategy Development: Assisting in the development and execution of strategic initiatives and projects to drive growth for this business line.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal teams, including local markets, marketing, finance and Product to get their support on initiatives to drive growth and track progress across the business.
  • Build and scale Ops processes: Create new and scale existing processes across EMEA in order to enable the business to efficiently operate and grow, and give time back to Country Ops. Build thorough insights and analytics on handled processes, from data-backed idea generation & decision-making, to formalized performance measurement
  • Project management and execution: Act as the Project Manager for Products and Processes led by you, creating launch and expansion plans, aligning multiple team members, tracking issues, driving root-cause analyses, measuring marketplace performance, and supervising progress against goals.
  • Governance and presentations: Support the governance of this business line by preparing monthly reviews and presentations to keep all stakeholders informed of our progress.
What You'll Need
  • At least 3 years of proven track record in Business Operations, Management Consulting, and/or Investment Banking with a strong analytical background.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly identify the key drivers of performance
  • Experience in running detailed quantitative analysis, interpreting data, and communicating results in structured deliverables. SQL knowledge is a must.
  • Experience in communicating analysis and recommendations, structuring narratives to convey sophisticated ideas efficiently, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences
  • Good problem-solving expertise with the potential to structure the challenges we face into concrete action plans.
  • Validated project management expertise with the potential to set up and implement processes or projects from the ground up
  • Positive and collaborative "can-do" approach. A resourceful and innovative approach.
