About the team :
Since 2020, Delivery at Uber has grown tremendously on the back of increased demand caused by the pandemic at the same time as we have expanded into new use cases and verticals like Grocery, Alcohol, Pick up and more. What has also become clear is that merchants across all categories have also increased their investment and interest in their digital and delivery oering. In many cases same day or next day will not be adequate as customers demand for immediate delivery is growing.
Without having their own on-demand logistics capability, merchants are looking for a partner who can fulfill the requirement for last-mile delivery. With millions of drivers and couriers providing on-demand logistics through our existing marketplaces around the world, Uber Direct is a newly launched product that allows all merchants, who want to maximize on a vast network of delivery partners, to do so and fulfill the on-demand last-mile-delivery service for orders on their own app and websites. Uber Direct has the potential to be our next multi-billion dollar business and is a meaningful requirement for our existing marketplace partners!
About role :
As a Senior Partner Success Manager, your primary responsibility will be to steward the growth and innovation of direct accounts in Japan. This entails serving as a strategic advisor for our premier direct merchants, crafting a robust market strategy, and implementing a dynamic go-to-market plan. Your efforts will focus on enhancing the 1st party delivery and last-mile capabilities of our direct merchants through the Uber Direct platform.
- Act as the primary liaison for key enterprise merchants, managing inquiries and providing consultative support.
- Develop and monitor business strategies across short, medium, and long-term horizons, adapting plans as needed.
- Collaborate internally to spearhead new product development or process enhancements.
Own the growth strategy and planning for Direct account partners and drive execution of plan
Obtain and analyze merchant data to identify trends in order to achieve the growth strategy
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, understanding merchant needs and driving positive outcomes.
Monitor and report on feedbacks, trends, and insight from our partners.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to propel business advancement.
Lead cross-functional teams to address complex merchant challenges
- Influencing new product features or business processes.
The role demands a candidate with exceptional critical thinking, sales acumen, operational expertise, and leadership qualities. Adaptability is crucial in our fast-paced environment, balancing strategic long-term goals with immediate tactical demands.
- Fluency in English and Japanese, catering to business requirements.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing large enterprise accounts, preferably in the technology sector.
- Proven sales and commercial strategy expertise.
Ability to analyze sales data and key metrics and translate insights into actionable plans.
Exceptional communication skills, with various stakeholders including C-level stakeholders and internal technical teams.
A proactive approach, ready to take initiative and drive results.
- Demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges; ability to solve complex problems.
- Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in SQL and data analysis to drive decision-making.
