Operations
in London, United Kingdom

About the Role

Uber Eats is expanding the Merchants' Operations team in the UK and Ireland. In this junior role within the Merchant Operations team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth for both our business and our partners' businesses through our marketing products. This involves empowering our teams with product knowledge, tools, education, and advanced data insights.

As part of the Merchant Operations team, you will work closely with the Merchant Growth Lead to implement our merchant growth strategy, focusing primarily on improving the efficiency of Ads and Offers operations. You will extract and analyse data, using your insights to inform and drive business decisions. You will own projects end-to-end, bringing innovative ideas for process improvements and business growth, and utilising your data analysis skills to test hypotheses and refine business processes.

As a Strategy & Analytics Manager, you will develop tools and scalable processes to support local teams in achieving their targets, build analyses, and create dashboards to measure project success. Collaboration with local and regional operations teams and commercial teams representing our Merchant Partners will be essential to your success.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct complex data analysis and use the results to drive business decisions.
  • Build strategy and vision based on customer pain points and identified opportunities.
  • Help launch new product updates and capabilities, driving global impact initiatives and expanding product adoption.
  • Communicate the value of our latest products creatively across various stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a roadmap of initiatives to increase adoption and retention of Uber Eats marketing tools among Partners.
  • Ensure projects progress to completion in a fast-paced environment, even under ambiguous conditions and tight deadlines.
  • Perform sophisticated data analysis, build models, and aggregate insights to inform key business decisions.
  • Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to monitor business performance, reporting findings to local leadership to guide long-term strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to contribute to the long-term growth of Uber Eats marketing tools.

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a Strategy or Operations role (e.g., Operations, Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, Sales Operations, Product Management).
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders and adapting to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Robust data analytics and technical skills, with proficiency in SQL being crucial.
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis, generating measurable insights, and advanced spreadsheet modelling.
  • Strong implementation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to develop and execute ideas effectively.
  • Confidence in managing and delivering end-to-end projects with autonomy, and comfort with shifting priorities.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, quickly building expertise in new areas to become a recognized subject matter expert.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling business cases and pitch them to senior leaders, using data-backed stories to secure buy-in.
