About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Strategic Operations Senior Manager to manage the business intelligence for Grocery & Retail within our Uber Eats feed. This operations role calls for a combination of creative problem-solving, operational optimization, data analytics, and stakeholder management. Strong track record of managing complex data sets, deriving insights, and driving projects out of the data. You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, enjoy solving problems and thrive in a startup environment. You will work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure Grocery and Retail impressions are showing for the right user at the right time.
What You'll Do
- Analyze: Work with some of the most complex data we have to drive powerful insights that drive growth
- Turn insights into strategy: Construct a strategy for both short and long term to improve the feed to maximize Grocery and Retail growth, while protecting overall platform value
- Turn strategy into action: Own strategy of Ops available tooling to deliver impactful impressions
- Validate and scale: Run methodical XPs that maximize learnings with efficient use of resources to validate hypotheses and implement learnings.
- Collaborate: Work with our product teams to develop short and long term strategies that improve user experience for Grocery and Retail
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data management and visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle problems logically; Data-driven approach to decision making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability, grounded in analytical thinking
- Bias toward action and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity and execution on tight timelines
- Phenomenal collaborator and someone who proactively partners across teams
- Self-motivated, works independently and possess strong organization and time management skills
- Creative approach that enjoys experimentation and is willing to take bold bets despite risk of failure
- Track record of driving agenda and making smart tradeoffs in an environment of conflicting internal priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Management consulting, marketplace growth operations, or strategy work in a large business (3+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
