About the Role

As a Product Manager on the Consumer Merchandising team, you'll play a key role in redefining how we showcase restaurant, grocery, retail selection to customers on Uber Eats.

You’ll build product experiences that highlight new use cases and selection, while building tools that empower other engineering teams, ops and merchandisers to independently launch curated collections across our site. Key questions you’ll answer: How might we showcase the full breadth of the products we can deliver, tailoring to specific contexts, occasions, holidays, and seasons? How might we create a shoppable list of a celebrity’s must have party supplies? How can we enable brands to highlight their products in ways that best represent their brand identity? What tools and playbooks do we need to create in order to make these products come to life?

This role is a great fit for a PM with a real passion for their customers, great technical depth, principled thinking, well-honed product judgment, bold innovation, a high design bar, and a mentality of starting with the customer first and working backward.

What the Candidate Will Do

We are just in the beginning stages of building out our new delivery verticals, and the potential opportunities are vast and uncharted. In this role, you will:

  • Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for our curation platform - item components, brand pages, landing pages for new collections, and the underlying tech and tooling that power the creation of custom collections.
  • Build products across the Uber Eats app that highlight restaurant, grocery and retail selection in compelling and inspiring formats (ex. top 10 lists, editorial showcases, branded content).
  • Work with business partners and ops teams to define and implement the strategy to scale these products globally.

Basic Qualifications

  • Product Experience: Minimum 6+ years of Product Management experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them -- and you're deeply proud of what you've accomplished
  • Structured thinking/decision-making skills: You tackle complex product challenges and simplify them
  • Experience working with diverse partners, including operations teams
  • Experience working on consumer-facing products
  • Experience working on 0 to 1 products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running experiments to assess the effectiveness of releases
  • Stellar design instincts and product taste.
  • Customer obsession: a clear track record of delivering elegant solutions for true user problems
  • Data-informed and data-savvy: You just go get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to use this data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
  • Experience working on marketplace products
  • Full-stack product delivery that includes UX and backend systems
