About the Role
This position is based on-site in Dubai OR Riyadh. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and executing Uber’s Autonomous Vehicle (AV) fleet operations strategy to support the scaled deployment of AVs in a newly launched market. You will collaborate closely with AV developers, fleet operators, infrastructure partners, and real estate stakeholders to drive industry-leading asset utilization and maximize vehicle uptime—ultimately contributing to best-in-class fleet economics.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and leading the execution of Uber’s AV fleet operations strategy within your market. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with strong technical acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building processes from the ground up, and are passionate about scaling operational capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with your team to drive AV deployment in the Middle East by implementing innovative operational solutions tailored to regional challenges.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maximize vehicle uptime and optimize operational efficiency to meet or exceed performance goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for the fleet partner, managing escalations and driving resolutions for any operational issues
- Understand the end-to-end AV service ecosystem and support partners in overcoming challenges related to vehicle servicing, infrastructure, and logistics
- Build and manage high-impact strategic partnerships to support AV fleet growth and operational success
- Work cross-functionally within Uber to align on dependencies, contribute to budgeting and resource planning, define KPIs, and be accountable for market-level performance.
- Leverage data to surface insights and trends—informing creative solutions and translating them into actionable operational plans
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years AV Operations experience required
- 5 years of total experience in Operations, Program Management, or related fields
- Possess experience in launching AV Operations in existing/new markets
- Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments with a hands-on, startup-like approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-making mindset and sound business judgment
- Highly proficient in Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to travel to support a field presence (heavy travel required if not based in the deployment market)
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering or technical background is a plus
- Excellent stakeholder management and project execution skills
- Strong understanding of operational levers and their impact on unit economics
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize effectively in a constantly evolving work environment
- Proficiency in SQL and a strong passion for data analysis
