About the Role
As part of the Corporate Finance team, you will help analyze our global business, with an emphasis on driving the growth and profitability of Uber. You will play a key role in all aspects of consolidated-level reporting and make significant contributions to high-profile strategic and operational initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Help build our P&L fluency, with an emphasis on legal entity forecasting.
- Monthly close: report and analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan - use insights to iterate on forecasts and build/discuss potential action plans with cross-functional customers.
- Operational improvement: Help optimize our planning processes and ensure finance the best methodologies spread through the organization. Work with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals.
- Liaise with cross-functional departments (e.g., Treasury, Tax, Accounting, Insurance, etc.) to collect and analyze inputs to the global forecast.
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant subject.
- 3+ years of proven experience.
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets.
- Prior financial and/or analytical experience, including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Understanding of enterprise-level financial planning systems such as IBM Cognos TM1 and Oracle.
- Specialized knowledge in one or more tax areas (e.g., Global Tax Accounting, Indirect Tax).
- Self-starter and proactivity-driven.
- Consistent with detailed and high-quality execution.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year.
