About the Role

As Chief of Staff to the Sr Vice President, Chief Architect Officer you will take on an unusually wide range of responsibilities to support the organization’s leaders. Specifically you will be responsible for supporting and improving the Sr Vice President, Chief Architect Officer's effectiveness through planning, prioritization, and coordination of executive action items. You will also serve as a critical partner for senior leaders - defining and managing the cadence of business as well as coordinating and connecting teams and work streams to ensure the business is moving quickly and in the right direction. You will serve as a program manager for special projects, working with a vast array of stakeholders on both the strategic vision and project execution. This is an awesome opportunity to innovate and build new structures to support a relatively new leadership team.

This role requires a highly resourceful, sharp, organized, discrete, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence, analytical reasoning, and quick problem solving.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the operational cadence of the business including: structuring the rhythm of the business, including leadership meetings, offsites, all hands, and strategy sessions
  • Improve execution velocity and efficiency including: developing a list of critical challenges that need to be resolved and assembling the right data and most relevant metrics and information to analyze and enable nimble decision-making
  • Delineate, create, and lead the process around predictable execution of Mobility and Delivery Tech Priorities. Collaborate with Product, Ops, Core Services, Platform Engineering and Finance to align priorities and ensure seamless execution of projects
  • Drive strategic initiatives and/or discrete projects on behalf of the Sr Vice President, Chief Architect Officer and leadership team
  • Communicate findings from initiatives to management and the broader organization through large group presentations and written communications
  • Act as a liaison between the Sr Vice President, Chief Architect Officer and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of priorities and initiatives across the organization
  • Assist in managing technology budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships
  • Partner with Finance and Talent Acquisition to manage headcount budget & tracking and support hiring initiatives
  • Partner with HR and the Comms team on All Hands, onboarding processes, and employee engagement programs to build a strong and cohesive technology team
  • Partner closely with cross functional teams including: engineering, product, data science, finance, HR, talent acquisition and communications

What You’ll Need

  • BA/BS degree
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in either operations consulting, strategy, finance, project management or related experience in a technology company or strategy consulting firm
  • Ability to define metrics for success and track KPIs towards those metrics
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in working in a tech organization with particular comfort and understanding of software engineering

  • Experience leading and navigating large, complex organizations, including successfully building and managing relationships with executives and partners

  • A demonstrated balance of leadership, critical thinking, and business risk/operations skills
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize multiple projects
  • High executive functioning, specifically the ability to work independently without being overly dependent on detailed instructions

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$215,000 per year - USD$239,000 per year.
