About the role

Uber Direct is transforming last-mile delivery by empowering businesses to leverage Uber’s logistics network to fulfill on-demand orders directly from their own channels—whether through a website, app, or point of sale. In the CASA region, this capability is unlocking new growth opportunities for partners across key industries such as restaurants, grocery, pharma, and retail.

As an Operations Coordinator for Uber Direct, you will play a critical role in building the operational foundation required to scale this business. Working closely with the Operations Manager and cross-functional partners, you will lead continuous improvement efforts through process design and optimization, data analysis, and the successful execution of new merchant launches. From streamlining onboarding workflows to identifying operational bottlenecks and developing data-driven solutions, your work will directly enhance performance, efficiency, and merchant satisfaction.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires strong analytical skills, executional rigor, and a deep understanding of both local dynamics and global strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Account Management, TAMs, Marketplace, Fraud, and Support to deliver scalable initiatives that move the business forward. As Uber Direct expands into new opportunities and complex markets, your ability to turn insights into action will be essential to shaping the future of delivery in CASA.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable solutions to improve merchant onboarding, performance, and experience

  • Design and build robust processes to optimize operations and unit economics, as well as improve the experience for merchants and couriers

  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance, run analyses, and translate insights into impactful initiatives

  • Act as the voice of Uber Direct within other operations teams (Marketplace, Fraud, Support), ensuring marketplace conditions are aligned for optimal performance of Direct merchants. This includes defining merchant-specific incentives, educating earners on how Direct works, and conducting merchant visits

  • Execute strategic projects focused on continuous improvement, from planning to implementation and measurement

What you’ll need

  • 2+ years of professional work experience in a related field (start-up, operations, strategy, analytics, tech)

  • English and Spanish professional proficiency

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with experience handling data (reports, experiments, pricing models) and scaling processes

  • Experience with data-based decision-making

  • Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new tools; experience with SQL or Python is a plus

  • A passion for constant learning, problem-solving, and delivering impact

  • Self-starter with the ability to drive initiatives independently

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders under tight deadlines

Bonus points

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively catch and correct mistakes

  • Hands-on attitude with a willingness to address operational challenges directly

  • Experience managing stakeholders, especially in partnership with commercial teams

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
