About the Role

We are actively looking for a resourceful, proactive, and experienced Creative Lead to help lead our design team within the broader Global Partner Solutions team. As a seasoned creative leader, you will support Uber Advertising Pre-Sale, Industry Marketing, Creative Strategy, and Narrative Strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth. You’ll be a pivotal partner to sales and product teams as you lead designers and support the creation of data-first, brand-focused, audience-ready campaigns for advertisers, as well as toolkits, pitch decks, brand collateral, social, website and product launches. You can handle complex creative operations with ease and provide creative direction that results in visually stunning, engaging deliverables that drive success for advertising clients and the org.

The ideal candidate for this leadership role is a detail-oriented, visionary creative leader who is dedicated to the intersection of technology and storytelling. They are multifaceted in their abilities: can one day deliver audience-centric ideas that focus on specific business objectives; on another day sit with CCOs or CMOs at Fortune 500 brands to inspire them to consider future innovations and recommendations for their brands. They have a pragmatic and deadline-driven approach, strive to uplevel all work, are known as a strategic partner to their cross-functional peers, and can provide vision for future team growth. They are an expert in their craft, with the ability to inspire, and empower designers and copywriters to create their best work.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Take a people-first approach to managing a team of designers and copywriters, ensuring they are producing a high level of creative output while balancing the needs of the business
  • Manage creative operations and establish clear ways of partnering with many internal teams
  • Lead creative direction for all pre-sale campaigns on Uber
  • Work and oversee creative globally, ensuring that it is relevant and useful
  • Proactively lead a team while Uber is scaling it’s advertising org, evaluating changing business needs and ensuring that the design team stays relevant and necessary
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, balance the needs of stakeholders, and break down complex needs into simple, compelling solutions
  • Create, inspire, and sustain a culture of excellence as a design leader with a focus on craft and quality
  • Help build the next Iteration of the Uber Advertising brand
  • Direct creative for all global events, and collaborate with the Industry Marketing team to make them come to life

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of professional work experience, preferably in advertising and tech
  • Portfolio of past work + proven track record showing experience in Advertising, Tech and digital Graphic Design
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ready to work digital-first daily
  • Comfortable leading and inspiring a team of designers and copywriters
  • Passionate about design, learning new tools, and bringing the best and latest design solutions to the job
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done when all information is not available
  • Resilient and resourceful in face of ambiguity, thriving on change
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with many other roles and stakeholders in the company
  • Past experience providing creative direction for motion, UX/UI, design, brand collateral and video
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-accountability
