Position Summary:

The Building Supervisor will report directly to the Facilities Manager.

Core responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

This position is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of resort units and buildings, with regards to safety, cleanliness and maintenance and follows Daily Management, Inc. and Gold Crown Resort high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a friendly, professional, cheerful and courteous demeanor always
  • Always Ensures Outstanding customer care
  • Respond to general guest concerns related to room moves, incidents, dirty rooms and any other housekeeping related issues as well as mystery guests.
  • Follow up with guest calls to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Provide daily QA Inspections of vacant/clean rooms and public areas (Inspections should generate work for both housekeeping and maintenance as the data gathered will be redirected to the appropriate department and sections assigned).
  • Provide upper management daily report of events and tasks completed
  • Provide support to Resort Manager for back of the house with projects
  • Responsible for all VIP rooms in order to ensure that rooms are up to resort standard
  • This position is responsible for performing routine quality control checks
  • Responsible for guest rooms
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of resort units
  • Responsible for planning, assigning and directing assignments, as well as addressing complaints.
  • This position also conducts routine inspections as well as other projects that may be assigned by the Facilities Manager, Resort Manager and Director of Maintenance.
  • Adhere to all resort and legislative safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintains a cordial, professional relationship with all staff members and customers. Assists with special projects as required/or assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Report unit deficiencies
  • Must ensure that issues or challenges are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assists all departments in servicing the guests especially during high volume periods.
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with demonstrated flexibility

Experience:

Three to five years of hospitality-related experience is required. Timeshare or Resort management experience highly desirable. Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; communicate effectively at all levels; and demonstrate the ability to analyze and resolve problems. Must possess significant computer software program experience, especially Excel and Word.

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Flexible Scheduling: Must be able to work Evenings, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight.

The employee will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and, to talk, hear and/or smell. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift and/or move 10-25 lbs. And occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include Close vision, Distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus in various settings. Good Customer Service skills are a must.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
